Designing around imperfection

Every piece Northfeld throws carries the trace of a hand. We built the studio’s site to protect that quality rather than smooth it over — full-bleed photography, no cropping to a rigid grid, and captions that read like a potter’s notebook.

Photography as the main event

We directed a two-day shoot in natural light to capture glaze variation accurately, then built a lightweight CMS so the studio can add new work themselves without touching a single layout.
